Jerry Rouleau

Jerry Rouleau is the owner of a public relations and marketing firm, J. Rouleau & Associates, based
in Terryville, CT. Jerry has been involved in the housing industry for over 25 years and specializes
in working with builders, housing companies and building product suppliers.
Over 8,000 housing sales professionals have gone through his sales & marketing seminars &
workshops. In addition to training and consulting he also specializes in public relations. In the past
10 years, Jerry has created over 26 million dollars in free publicity for the system built housing
industry and won over 15 awards for their clients plus received 13 sales & marketing awards for the
most creative public relations campaign. He is also a past recipient of the S.A. Walters Chairman’s
Award.
Jerry is also the originator and creator of the Jan’s House of Hope tour. Jan’s House of Hope was a
fund raising project, which involved building a 3100 sq ft home on a barge. The fully furnished
home complete with 3 car garage, car in the driveway and fenced in landscaped yard toured seven
cities on the east coast. The tour generated over 15 million dollars of publicity for cancer
awareness in a two-month period. Jerry is the founder and President of the National Cancer
Awareness Foundation.

Scott Rouleau is manager of PR & Marketing at J.Rouleau & Associates LLC, and has been
involved in the housing industry for over 12 years (though growing up in the industry, he feels it’s
in his blood). His depth of experience and knowledge is enviable – he’s worked in sales and
marketing for housing companies on the customer side as well as the corporate side, and has built
a reputation as dedicated, tenacious and an innovative thinker.
Over the years, Scott has worked on several feature home projects, securing over $2.8 million in
client product placements in 2005 & 2006 alone. He also provides large and small corporate-level
sales and marketing consulting, including his highly regarded mystery shopping programs. With his
extensive industry experience, Scott’s PR campaigns create one-of-a-kind media opportunities for
his clients. His campaigns have been featured in top home shelter and national publications
including Inc. Magazine, Men’s Journal, Timber Homes Living, Lakestyle Magazine, Cottage Style
Magazine, American Dream Home Magazine, numerous in-flight publications, as well as on MSNBC
and CNN, among others.
Scott is a passionate European car fan, and has been involved in several restoration projects,
including most recently bringing a 1974 BMW 2002 back to life after nearly a decade in an

Scott Stroud

Scott has been involved in the business of marketing, designing, selling and building homes for
over 30 years. He began framing houses shortly after school and went on to become an award-
winning log home builder/dealer outside his hometown of Louisville, KY. For the past 13 years he
has directed sales and marketing organizations within the housing industry, and has been active in
the Building Systems Council of the NAHB.
A proficient sales trainer and marketing consultant, Scott brings his previous experience as a new
home dealer, sales manager, contractor and designer to J. Rouleau & Associates and to
BuilderRadio.com. Many of the issues that will be addressed in our programs are ones that Scott
has faced first hand, making him well-suited for his role as moderator and program director.

Rob Knight

Robert Knight has played a managerial role in the housing industry since 1981. He has been
General Manager, Controller, and President of Yankee Barn Homes [a leading timber frame
manufacturer], as well as part owner. He has also consulted in the log home industry. He has run
different businesses for 30 years and been involved with the sale, purchase, and financing of
several of them. He brings a wealth of real world operational and financial experience. He has been
involved with all aspects of sales and marketing including building two model homes.
He has participated in many professional programs and seminars offered by the NAHB, the Building
Systems Council, and the Timber Framers Guild Business Council and has Certified Sales
Professional designation from the NAHB.
He graduated from Dartmouth College with distinction and studied accounting and finance at
Plymouth State University’s graduate school. In addition to his professional pursuits, he is a
competitive marathoner and skier.
